Utrolig gjennomført prosjekt beskrevet med velvalgte ord.
Jeg ser vår alles JDM forum støvsuger også har bidratt med et par poster.
Inspirerende lesing.

Have you guys ever heard of the "Honey Do" list? It works like this. Wife says, "Honey can you do this for me?" and before you blink, there is a list a mile long of jobs you are expected to do. Mine began simply enough with, "Honey, I think we need a kitchen table". Sounds innocent doesn't it? Well it was a loaded gun! We do not have room for a kitchen table in our kitchen. So I knocked down a 14 ft long internal wall to make the kitchen bigger. But that left the back door opening straight into the kitchen, which was deemed not acceptable. So I have to relocate the back door down the side of the house. Snag is there is nowhere down the side of the house where it can go easily. So I choose for it to go in place of the downstairs bath room window but this has the consequence of putting the back door opening into a bathroom, also not acceptable (even to me on this occaision!) so I have to relocate the bathroom. This is done by converting our old integral single garage into a bathroom with utility room (the utility room was on the Honey Do list a long time) but that involved putting in a new concrete slab down with insulation and underfloor heating, insulating all the single skin brick walls to building reg standards, install new foul drains including new manholes, dealing with an asbestos ceiling, building a boiler room in the corner plus stacks of plumbing and wiring. So now the bathroom has been moved and the utilty room built (new appliances of course!), I am in the process of installing the replacement back door as I can't reuse the old one as it is the "wrong look" for our house. When it rains really heavily we get a a good flow of run off water from the road. To protect the new back door from flooding risks, I have had to put up a dwarf wall arrangement plus a french drain to stop water collecting in the wrong place. Next is to cut the brickwork opening and install the door frame and door (should arrive today) but I also need to widen the internal vestibule door by 5 inches which meant installing a new longer lintel prior to cutting that brickwork back. Ha the wife is going to love that job, better get her some new dusters in! Currently our stairs and landing are supported on steel props. Anyway once the new door back door is installed with the old bathroom being re-pannelled in wood (arts and crafts style of course) I am informed I have to change the layout of the kitchen. This is more than just bricking up the old back door and installing an arch window. I have to move the Aga to the other side of the room, rejig half the wall cupboards, replace the tiled floor and install a new ceiling with new lighting system as well as repairing all the damage done in the process to the walls. But then, guess what? The wife gets her kitchen table! So far the table, which is a pine table, a hand me down from my dad has cost me £15,000!
