Is it legal to have a dog in my passenger seat. I have a groendahl. He loves the car. So i build up floor in front seat so he can lie down or sit and enjoy the fresh air :D But is this legal?

There is no special rules for dogs. They are considered as cargo and the only rule is for securing cargo in case of an accident.
The cargo should be secured to prevent damages to driver/passengers in case of an crash.
So I dont think there should be any problem transporting him in the passenger seat.

Then you have to secure the case properly.
You do know that you get special harnesses/seatbelts for dogs?
